Huge disappointment.

To me, Domi/Duclair didn't earn their way onto the team like how I hoped. They were pretty much handed roster spots from our GM by giving them no competition. This is going to be a long year.

At this point in their development, they need NHL time. It would be hard for even a very good veteran player to shine in games where a garbage team plays like garbage. Rookies aren't going to smash down the wall themselves. I think your expectations are unreasonable.

The last batch of cuts made sense unfortunately, nothing truly scandalous.

Plachta: I wished his play had pushed more questionning on Vitale/Chipchura over the last week. But he kind of plateau'ed a bit.

The real sour info for me is the news coming from Denver about Gormley. Somewhat predictable, I guess, but I suspect that there is 'salt in the wounds' coming from Colorado for us this year.

Not surprised. Gormley is just not that good.
