Confirmations/Links

Chicago
However, first, he's (Garrett Ladd) going to camp with the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves. You will remember, as part of the Komets' new affiliation with the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights, the Wolves are the rung on the ladder between Fort Wayne and Vegas.
So, if Ladd, 28, doesn't make the Wolves' roster, the Komets would hold his rights and he would have to play in Fort Wayne or, if he wants to play elsewhere in the ECHL, he'd have to be dealt.
Ladd's absence from Komets' roster explained | Ice chips | Journal Gazette

Iowa
Defenseman Tate Olson was released from his ATO. Olson will report to training camp for the Iowa Wild.

Manitoba
Colton Veloso is heading to Moose camp – Kootenay Ice

Providence
The Atlanta Gladiators announced Tuesday that goaltender Sean Bonar has re-signed with the team for the 2018-19 season. Bonar will attend training camp this season with the Glads’ AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins.

Springfield
Defensemen Dylan MacPherson, Linus Nassen and goaltender Evan Cormier have been released from their try outs and are expected to attend Springfield's training camp.

The Wolf Pack will open training camp with a roster of 17 players, 10 forwards, four defensemen and three goaltenders:
Goal (3): Connor LaCouvee, Brandon Halverson, Chris Nell
Defense (4): Sean Day, Vince Pedrie, Derek Pratt, Scott Savage
Forwards (10): Riley Bourbonnais, Alex Kile, Dawson Leedahl, Mike Marnell, Drew Melanson, Shawn O’Donnell, Ty Ronning, Shawn St. Amant, Jason Salvaggio, Brady Vail
Invites highlighted in bold.

The Checkers have also invited four players to camp – forward Joe Cox, a Michigan State product who led the ECHL's Florida Everblades' rookies in scoring last season, defensemen Travis Howe, who led the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies in penalty minutes each of the last two seasons, Matt Finn, who was under contract with the Checkers last season but missed the majority of the season with an injury, and Trevor Owens, a Raleigh native who just finished his collegiate career at Northeastern.

The Colorado Avalanche announced Wednesday that the team has reassigned five forwards and three defensemen to the Colorado Eagles. Included in that group are forwards J.C. Beaudin, Julien Nantel, Matthew Boucher, Josh Dickinson and Grayson Downing, along with defensemen Kevin Davis, Nolan De Jong and Turner Ottenbreit.

Boucher and De Jong are invites. The other players are signed to NHL or AHL contracts.

Esposito is the only player who isn't signed to a NHL or AHL contract on this list.

Austin Fyten, Olivier Galipeau, Brett McKenzie, Joel Messner, Tanner Pond, Alex Sakellaropoulos will report to Providence.
Messner and Sakellaropoulos are UFAs at the AHL level.

Sharks have only cut dozen or so players for AHL camp (and no more TOs on the roster; one TO converted to AHL deal - Keaton Middleton, following his brother into the organization). I'll expect another swath after Saturday's preseason game.

Barracuda have not (yet) announced their training camp roster. Guessing that might happen Sunday.

Camp starts Monday. VGK didn't seem to be in control of Wolves last year, St Louis did.
I'd say neither was "in control" of the Wolves. The Wolves have a front office with 2 primary guys who have been in control of the team since it's inception 24 years ago.

I think when you see the other poster say "CHI never releases its roster", that is something that is coming from the strong, local, independent hockey operations of that team, and not necessarily something dictated from above by what might end up being a temporary affiliation.

Which is why the Wolves are always the last resort as a minor-league affiliate for NHL clubs. Wolves owners are focused on selling tickets and winning games over player development. This has been on ongoing issue with the parent NHL teams who have often complained about the lack of playing time for their prospects.

I believe VGK hired the AHL Chicago coaches (for upcoming season). They are the ones that decide who's in the lineup and get played.

Vegas was and is 100% in control of the on ice part of the Wolves...St. louis had 0 say in anything...thus why a guy like Jake Walman asked to be moved to a different AHL team half way thru the season...the reason...even tho he was playing just about every game he wasn't being used the way he wanted to....he's a St Louis prospect last year.

Vegas was in total control of the on ice product last year...the front office and the owners are 2 separate entities...you have Buddy Myers and Don Levin as owners...Buddy has never been a out in front kind of guy. Don has always been the guy who is more hands on...
The Wolves releasing their roster has always been a bit of a mess and the problem is there are certain people in the front office who have obtained both a bit of "power" and the accompanying attitude that goes with it...thus causing them to act bigger then they are...culminating in playing this game with releasing any type of information like it's a big state secret..
I can assure you that Vegas is happy with the situation and in fact has the one guy in charge who understands exactly how this type of relationship works having done it with another independently owned team in the past...a team that has won multiple championships at the AHL level.

Not exactly true...the Wolves and Vegas worked together to put the staff together, with each having input...They agreed on Rocky Thompson as Head Coach and I can assure you that the guys in Vegas had NO CLUE who Bob Nardella was before last season...Chris Dennis was a canadian university coach prior so I'm equally sure the Wolves had no clue who he was...
Lady Stanley...you are aware that these 2 clubs were affiliated last year as well right? Your post indicates you think these guys were hired this year

In years past this might have been the case...now not so much...the Wolves have had a change in their approach with regards to development...yes they want to win and sell tickets and yes in the past that was a priority...now they have put development in the picture as well starting with St. Louis...they have the perfect partner right now in Vegas because they have the same ideas about developing and winning...McPhee did it for years with Hershey/Washington.
