Proposal: Trading the 1st overall pick

Not that it would ever be on the table especially with his contract, but it seems like the only people you people would consider trading it for are possibly MacKinnon and McD

Matthews, Seth Jones, Mackinnon, McDavid I would do... Outside of that it would take some thinking.

Elias Pettersson - If Vancouver wants to re-unite Hughes brothers
Brayden Point - Tampa has salary cap issues.
Mitch Marner - Toronto has salary cap issues.

No. The number 1 pick would be cheaper in the short term, under team control for a longer period of time, and could very well end up being a better player than all 3.
