Players are not eligible for the playoffs, but do you remember your team making a trade after the deadline but before the end of the season? If yes, what was the trade?

Can't find a specific NHL only trade, but the last 10 years, here's the ones that happened post deadline/pre playoffs:

Oilers traded for Marody 2 years ago on march 21st, but that was just for his rights.

Sens traded for Gormley as a AHL fill in in 2017

Hurricanes traded for Dane Fox in 2016

Leafs traded for Rosehill in 2009

One I could imagine making sense this year would be Byfuglien, although I don't think that will happen.

Why would that make sense if reports are accurate that he’s not even doing any on-ice recuperation?

Maybe at the draft if he shows he’s interested in playing next season.

The point was that it would be the type of trade (already slightly rumoured) that would be fine happening after the deadline since he isn't playing this season either way.
