I would be nervous about that as well. Not convinced he is worth that has always had decent lines to play with in Ottawa. Possibly a bit overvalued.

Of all our players that have been moved or rumored to be moved, Dzingel would be the one we could actually sell high on. I would absolutely move him before the deadline regardless of the status of Stone and Duchene. Just don't feel like he will live up to the contract he is gonna get. Good player, but not $5M or more a year good.

Looks like we will be trading all three. Ceci probably stays for cap reasons. We will need to hit the floor next year. Wonder if we can get a 1st or Puljujarvi from Edmonton to take on Lucic for them. Would be a smart move on our part.

Not to mention his incredibly low cap hit. Almost any team should be able to fit him. He's an easy instant shot in the arm to any contender for minimal disruption. As opposed to someone like Stone or Duchene which would require a shake up of the other team's lineup to send cap elsewhere, which might be a turn off to some of the better teams who don't want to screw with chemistry.

Any news on the meeting that was supposed to take place with Duchene today?

I'll be surprised to keep any of them... Maybe Dzingel ; I hope they find a place to ship Ceci. Now its just about the return and maybe options around allowing teams to talk to the agents, or a sign and trade deal which is less likely. Not hopeful Dorion can get value coming back.

Behind you, look out
The only thing that Pierre Dorion can pull off is his socks, and even that is hit or miss.

NO Captains please. If Matt AND Mark leave, I dont want to see a Captain named for the hell of it.
This ship needs to be righted before it can be given a Captain.
what are the chances we name tkachuk captain for marketing reason?

Do what you need to get Dobson if the Islanders are after either Stone or Duchene, he's a legit 1st pairing blue chipper, and play the right side (and has played his offside).

RN hasn't lost a game since adding Dobson 15 games ago, and he has been an absolute force on both ends of the ice, with 19 assists and only being on the ice for 7 goals against playing 30 minutes a night against the top players in the Q. Doing unbelievable at ES, PP and SH with multiple points in each situation.

Think about what the team gave up to get Duchene
Then traded Hoffman for pennies
Then traded EK for pennies
And has to trade Duchene, Stone and Dzingle for pennies or lose them for nothing

Imagine if management had an actual plan with foresight... the amount of value the Sens have gave away the last 16 months

Sounds like the type of prospect that does not get dealt for rentals

Having one of Chabot or Dobson on the ice for 50 minutes a game in a few years would be unreal.

Chabot - Jaros (or even JBD)
Lajoie - Dobson

Would be one of the best top 4s in the league by 2022-23, IMO.

Sadly I doubt the Isles give him up.

Probably, should have been a top 5 pick.

Huge, right handed D like that are worth their weight in gold. Been a long time since we had a guy who could play shut-down D, 1st PP and put up 40+ points.
Dobson would be a nice add, but I don’t see why NYI would be after a rental star just yet.

Duchene
Stone
Dzingel

*Plus possible 1st overall 2019 pick*

It's an insane, unprecedented talent gutting of a team. That's our *by a large margin mind you* 5 best players, sans Chabot, all gone in 8 months time if we do deal the UFA line. Just insane.

Only hope is we actually get something decent back this time.

Add in possibly the 1st overall pick in 2019.
