Aragorn doesn’t do sub 6 feet. He’s got good opinions, and I think we both want the same type of team on the ice save for one blind spot he has.

Maybe it’s because I gotta back my peeps ;)

Ball man has been great, and I think he’s down in Belleville to have a solid playoff run with our other star prospects. It’s not because he isn’t ready or willing, but because he is winning and doing great, and we’re not looking to push right now.

One or two kids up at a time, Balcer will be in the next group with Batherson. Formenton, Abramov, and Norris I think will be given a little more time, with JBD joining them soon, and maybe Pinto too. Then we also have Lassi coming at some point.

Mid range guys like Davidson, Alsing, Veronneau, Lajoie, and the other dude I forget in there as well, and that’s not even considering the two firsts and three 2nds coming up....

It's so hard to say isn't it?

A team that thinks it is in the middle of their SC years may be more willing to part with a high pick if they are really looking to address their weak links like either depth scoring or a shutdown C.

Ennis might get us a 2nd if he keeps up his pace and most likely would be so.eone we could throw a shorter term, inflstednoffer to

Down if the price isn't too high

Would def move Tierney for a young risky player though Andersson hasn't shown much in North America

I dunno. Seems a few posters int he trade boards say the knock on him is skating. If true, that's quite a red flag in the league these days. You can have all the skill in the world, but if you can't keep up with the play, you simply won't make it in the NHL. (Caveat: I haven't watched him at all this year, so have no idea how accurate the posters are when talking about his skating.)

I think a 2nd is optimistic because players of his style generally don't gather too much. Ennis was nearly out of the league and at times at the beginning of the season he didn't look like a NHLer, he's confident now and looking good but he's also not a guy you're typically looking for when trying to make a cup run. He's small and get easily knocked off the puck, not particularly good defensively, whenever the play gets more physical he fades away.

Reminds me a bit of when PA Parenteau was traded from the Devils to the Preds. Parenteau had a similar points pace, was producing on a lesser team, but clearly wouldn't be playing much on another team. He had 27 points in 59 games and then only played 8 games with 1 point in Nashville. Teams tend to overpay for good defensive/two-way and physical guys, rarely for small offensive wingers.

Nashville gave up a 6th rounder to grab Parenteau. I think a 2nd is ambitious, I would be thrilled with a 3rd, think we get a 4rth. I think teams might overpay for a guy like Tierney.

Honestly he's been misused in NY, he's been playing with 4rth liners all year. Kinda like if we were playing Brown with Boedker and Sabourin all year. Not surprising he's looking for another opportunity, he's not the type of guy that will succeed with bottom 6 duty, especially the way the Rangers have set up their bottom 6 with guys like Hayley, Mckegg, Howden, Smith.

You are most likely correct...I want to put it out in to the universe that he may get us a 2nd.

If fact...we already have the 2nd because it is going to happen. Isn't that how The Secret worked?

I want speed too but coupled with puckhandling, shooting and passing skills. Plus the biggest meanest toughest 4th liner in the league who is not a defensive liability.

I don't see the point of going after Andersson from a Sens POV. We can't even find spots for better prospects in our NHL lineup who are already in Belleville. He'd be buried just the same here and he seems like a bit of a wreck emotionally.

Find me a defenseman in a similar situation who wants to be moved and go after that guy.

If we were to offer for Lias I feel we’d have a good shot at aquiring him.

They’ve played him in more of a defensive/speed specialist role, so something along the lines of Forementon and Dallas’ 2nd.

We have a surplus of prospects in that capacity but do lack high skill. I like Lias much more than Pool Party.

I don't mind Andersson but he doesn't move the needle enough to go after. Rangers are not going to give him away either they took him 7OA.

Throws his silver medal in the crowd. Comes over here ... goes to the AHL and feels more entitled than that..Sure sometimes you see other guys get opportunities that you think you deserve but you have to suck that up , shut up and play.

Seems like a natural Puljujarvi for Andersson to me

Grew up playing with the kid hes a 96 im a 95 (he played a yr up) kid has a ton of skill but he's a brat. not the type of energy id wanna bring around our locker room
Unpopular opinion: I love Ho-Sang’s confidence in his abilities.

While other people in the sport see him as you say “brat”, I see it as his greatest attribute. No one believes in him more than himself. That’s a quality you need as an athlete.

Confidence is important, of course, but not if the athlete is delusional. I see being humble and hungry to get better as far better qualities.

people change and mature aswell. We have seen it first hand in guys like Zibby and Duclair

Someone could take a flyer on him and he doesn't look back and has an excellent nHL career

I also like the kid's confidence and have no problem with youngster making basically a silly, millennial statement.

I am amused by fans who say they hate cookie cutter, robotic like responses then blow a gasket when JHS or another athlete does not follow the aw shucks response.

I've heard Ho-Sang makes Kyle Turris look chubby .... Dude is pretty thin and his strength hasn't really translated anywhere.

I don’t think it’s the comments, it’s the context. The kid was dropped from the league completely after never having made it. It’s also doubly a shame when the skill seems to be there, but not the determination or character.

Not a single team wanted him when they could have picked him up for free.

That’s not a position for a kid to have any kind of attitude, that’s reality gut punch. It’s a time to shut your mouth and hit the grind stone kind of moment. While it may be a different response from most people, it’s just not impressive given the exactly zero he has shown to date.
