I disagree. I'm saying he's paid to be a top ten goal scorer in the leauge. Which he has been. A lot of peopke here expect him to be a game changing, impact type of player, but that's not who he is. He is a sniper. Unnoticeable, you don't see him, then bang bang, two shots, two goals. That's what he is!

2 goals in last 13 games.

There's no way San Jose would do a Gaborik for Corture deal. That's how a GM gets fired.

One thing about Gaborik is that at least as a Ranger, every other year he's been a monster (1st, 3rd....5th TBD) unfortunately this is an even year but I'd hold onto him because he will have time to properly strengthen his shoulder this summer and next year is the final year of his contract so he'll put up monster stats.

San Jose is probably looking to get a nice return for Murray/Clowe/Handzus as UFAs who will not be back, or get out of a long term deal like Havlat or even Burns.

Dan Boyle is a wildcard but I just don't see the fit here because San Jose isn't taking Richards, Nash is not going anywhere, and the return they'd want for him plus the cap hit doesn't add up.

I'd be interested in Handzus and Nieto for Boyle and a 3rd but no way do the Rangers do that. That would instantly improve the faceoff issue, free up cap room for next year, get a good prospect who fits this system, and allow Miller to go back to center with Halpern and Hanzus as faceoff options. It's not reality though.
