Acquiring brothers and players who had chemistry in junior is the most popular trade scenario on this site.

Ratcliffe would be a nice add either way, but I doubt the Flyers are looking to trade him.

Anaheim has some, Florida, maybe Colorado think that he and McKinnon can work magic together and we can acquire that 4th overall for Byram, maybe Oilers are looking to make a splash and add him to McDavids line.....Nurse+

Nashville needs scoring and have LHD ......I’m sure I can pull out more examples but you get it, there are LHD to be had

I wouldn’t do Suzuki, Tatar and a second for Pacioretty but it happened.

We can dismiss every trade proposal and assume another team would never ever consider a proposal here but hell, it happens, all the time.

Drouin is an obvious talent and amassed 50+ pts in a disappointing season......there’s room to grow there, we know it , Drouin knows it and other GM’s know it.

Trade could be Drouin plus also.....as for the Nurse proposal, yes, for me it would have to be Nurse+....too much potential in Drouin to trade for a player like Nurse on his own.

That's the no. 1 priority IMHO. And there are plenty of teams to target, as your posts suggests. We have some pieces that can be moved to get there, GM just needs to do what he did last year when he addressed the longstanding center issue. It can be done in one summer.

Yes it's true GM's make Taylor Hall for Larsson type of trades.

I just prefer to talk about trades that I would do on both ends, because they're more realistic - except when I know a certain player's market value is well below what I think it should be (like Skinner for a 2nd last year). I don't think Drouin's market value is that high right now, so I don't think he's able to land a player who's real worth is more than his. I would do Nurse-Drouin straight up, but the Oilers need D. I can't see them trading Nurse for Drouin.

Lucic could be tried on LW 3rd line.

I like it, but I'm not sure Colorado does. In theory they may want to reunite the Halifax standouts, but not sure they want to give up Girard for a project at the NHL level.

definitely, I don't think they want to trade Girard, they targeted him in Nashville and were high on him, and also girard/makar is an insane duo


but, we talking about Drouin too, more talented than Girard

I’m an oilers fan and wouldn’t trade samorukov for drouin. I like him better than Bouchard this year.

I subscribe to the notion that Drouin alone won't land you that coveted first pairing LHD but could be used in a package to get you there. Totally worth it in my view, depending on who the incoming player is and what has to be added to Drouin to get there.

Skinner/Panarin/Lee/Duchene 1 of the 3 would be enough. I wouldn't say no to Dzingel/Johansson if we trade Jo Drew for a LHD like Fowler.

Sure.....I’m open to all kinds of ideas, maybe we eat all of Lucic’s salary and send them Alzner who has a year less and almost 2m$ less in cap hit.....maybe we eat 1m$ of Alzner’s cap so the swap is 3.25m$ vs 7m$......they can get creative......my proposal is the beginning stages of the dialogue.......
