Not really all that surprised with Drouin. I'm guessing it was some combination of the price being way too high for him and teams being not all that convinced that he'd be able to step in and help right now.

well Russo said something may be up as the Brass isn't responding to inquires as to if we stood pat. So maybe getting Allen who is a D could mean just some extra depth in the minors for D if we traded a Defenseman such as Brodin

he'll be consistent enough for us to continue pushing to get that WC spot for the playoffs, like Moulson, and then in the playoffs, he'll have an energetic game one, and then disappear until we get dropped by the Hawks again
