Avs need a 3C.

Players of interest from the names you mentioned: Lowry, Stastny, Copp, Danault, Bonino, Staal, Zajac, Granlund, Haula.

Guys with term like Tierney or Backlund might be alternatives as well.

Add Sorensen and Noesen to SJ. I imagine one of Nieto, Noesen or Sorensen end in Dallas. The other going to some other team in need of solid fourth liners.

I don't think it's worth opening that can of worms again as Avs and Montreal fans have already debated that ad nauseum. Montreal probably aren't moving Danault anyhow.

He would be an amazing pickup for your team in free agency

Taylor Hall sweepstakes out of Buffalo = a first ++

Ryan Getzlaf if he will accept a trade out Anaheim would be an interesting move........ He is a family man though .........with covid era....... he probably will not sign off on a trade.

Glendenning won't get more than a 4th or 5th at best.

Bobby Ryan doesn't really fit in the bottom 6 on a contender so I'm not sure there will be that much interest. Maybe for a 4th or something just because he's cheap.

Nemeth with 50% retained could get a 3rd if not a late 2nd.

Bernier if he's healthy could probably fetch a 3rd or so at 50% retained as well given how the goalie market looks.

Janmark isn't getting that. His possession metrics are literally the worst in the league and the only player under 40% CF%.
Watch him play. He’s scoring and playing defense like he always did. Don’t really care about analytics.
Either way if he doesn’t get a second, oh well.

From the Canucks:

Edler- Won't waive to leave Vancouver. He will sign a retirement deal with the Canucks. He has been very good this season.
Pearson- Poor mans top 6. If a team has a whole there, he can fill it adequately. I can't see the Canucks brining him back, unless he takes a significant pay cut. I think he could return a 2nd.
Sutter- Good bottom 6 player, who will help a team that needs some D from their forwards. With retention he will be able to get a 3rd.

Benn has been pretty good this year, but not sure there is a market for him. He may be resigned to meet Expansion requirements.

Put the sheet of paper down and watch the games. I’m very surprised with Janmark.

Been very surprised offensively with him
My opinion isn't only driven by advanced stats. I just think this is a classic case of a player outperforming his career numbers by a good margin in a bigger role than he's really suited for.

First of all, notice his shooting % this season is at 20.7%. That's 3 times his rate last year and double his career average. Considering that he has one of the worst muffin shots in the league I'd be shocked if he keeps that rate of scoring up.

Secondly, notice that his TOI is up by 2-3 minutes compared to his time in Dallas. As shown in the charts below Janmark is also playing with 2nd line level linemates in Chicago compared to being a bottom 6 forward in Dallas last season.

Possession metrics are also highly valued by GM's, and the fact that Janmark basically gets caved in everytime he's on the ice (which is what a sub-40% CF% indicates) isn't very appealing.

When assessing value you have to consider it from the perspective of a buying team. They aren't buying him to be a top 6 forward with the expectation that he's going to continue to shoot 20%. Rather, they'd be interested in him as a 4th line PK specialist. Is that worth a 2nd round pick? Probably not. Teams could easily just grab Glendenning or some other 4th liner for a lesser price to fill that sort of role.

That said, it's fair enough if Chicago dig their heels in and prefer to keep the player instead of selling him for less than a 2nd. That's their prerogative if they feel that they're not getting what they want. Though I would argue that they should move him for whatever they can get at the deadline so stock up on some draft picks during their rebuild/retool.

Don't see Getzlaf being moved, especially with Zegras being called up now. Organization wants him to help mentor Zegras. Plus, Getzlaf has said he has no desire to leave Anaheim.
