does anybody know when the playoffs are expected to start? and when the Leafs play their first game?
Playoffs start April 10th and with a concert scheduled for Wednesday at TD Gardens, the Leafs/Bruins series will start Thursday!

Means there will be a back to back game.

Either game 5 and 6 or game 6 and 7.
Well I don’t think those dates are confirmed so I expect we won’t see any b2bs but it’s pretty much a given the first two games are Thursday and Saturday

5 and 6.

There's a Cher concert on Monday in Toronto. So, no game 6 on that day.

Game 1: Thursday (Apr 11th)
Game 2: Saturday (Apr 13th)
Game 3: Tuesday (Apr 16th)
Game 4: Thursday (Apr 18th)
Game 5: Saturday (Apr 20th)
Game 6: Sunday (Apr 21st)
Game 7: Tuesday (Apr 23rd)

That should be it I guess if there's a B2B.

Yeah, it’d be crazy to have a back-to-back in any situation, let alone towards the end of a series.

My guess is it’ll be Thursday-Saturday-Monday-Wednesday-Saturday-Monday-Wednesday. Unless the above is correct and they go with a Friday-Sunday (afternoon)-Tuesday split to end the series. At which time I would hope Rogers pushes back hard.

What this means is that Boston could easily throw Halak in for game 6 on a back to back.

If that's the case, Boston goalies will be more rested in games 6 and 7 (if it is Halak game 6 and Rask game 7). Obviously Andersen is playing all 7 games.

Even if Leafs have a 3-2 series lead after 5 games they could lose the next two based on goalie management alone.

Yeah, a late series B2B will immediately favor the Bruins.

Although, I think the NHL will do everything in its power to provide a day off.

Game 1: Thursday (Apr 11th)
Game 2: Saturday (Apr 13th)
Game 3: Monday (Apr 15th)
Game 4: Wednesday (Apr 17th)
Game 5: Friday (Apr 19th)
Game 6: Sunday (Apr 21st)
Game 7: Tuesday (Apr 23rd)

It should happen this way unless the broadcasters become rigid and want that Saturday game 5.

And since we are the only Eastern Canadian team in the playoffs this year, we may be f***ed because CBC/Advertisers wants the Leafs on Saturday 7pm.

Back to back WITH travel? lol. No chance that happens. I don’t think I remember any NHL playoff series playing on back to back nights.

Can't do game six on the 22nd. Cher concert at 8 PM.

Unless it's an afternoon game I suppose (not sure what the logistics are like for such transitions).
