Toronto is the fastest team in NHL 13

This week, we took a look at forwards and our results were unexpected. The most unexpected was something Toronto fans will have something to cheer about as they rank first in our weighted speed algorithm tied with the San Jose Sharks. The slowest team in NHL 13 was Ottawo who ranks 30th in both average speed and weighted speed followed closely by the New York Islanders and the Anaheim Ducks.

Totally agrees with this.... I was using the Sens yesterday and my god..... Methot and Philips pivots slower than a snail.... Kessel just blew by me.....

Surprised the Ducks placed that low.

I average about 5 breakaways a game with Cogliano.

But Souray is god awful to play with any where other than the offensive zone.

Well Toronto does have a plethora of fast skaters.

Kessel
Bozak
Kulemin
MacArthur
Grabovski
Lombardi
Brown
Kadri
Gardiner
Liles
Frattin

All of them should be regulars in 12-13 and have great speed, unfortunately most of them lack the skill to complete that asset. Lupul, Connolly and Phaneuf are good skaters too but not top.

All in all, I would argue Toronto should be #1.

That's my thoughts exactly. But when you think about it. Who is fast on their team? No one on their top line is faster than like an 85 lol
