D

Don't you find that a little strange, your source tell you the same story Krug said in a radio interview the week before.

I would've been impessed if it was a week before. But a week after...
But he told me weeks before the radio interview, it's sitting in my Twitter DM
@BruinsNetwork has a solid source possible more than one,I'd lay off him about that,he's shared many a scoop with me,his batting average is excellent

krug has grown on me the past year. the guy runs our power play.
defensively he has improved alot.
grizz gets traded this season for a forward if we sign krug i think.
for me Grizz is a big reason why we have the best D in the league. He is so valuable to us. I would trade any of the 3 guys in Providence way before Grizz. He is also great insurance in case a guy like Krug or Mac go down for a long stretch. It’s CUP time

Different strokes for different folks. I'd like them to move him for a piece(s) or I'd like them to use him as their own rental and let him walk. I'm scared about the term and number. I'd prefer to move on. I recognize he's a good player, but just personally I don't want to give him 5+ years and 7+ MIL

If that's the money he asks for that's an absolute steal! Go compare his stats to the other D of his caliber around the league and look at the $$ attached to them. Everyone is allowed an opinion about which ever player, but fact is he's been a huge part of this team taking the next step and giving them one of the top PP for the past few years now. There is no piece(s) that holds higher value in a trade than what Krug brings to this team on and off the ice. He is an important cog to this team and a special part of the B's family.

Absolutely allowed to not like him, just my opinion.

Krug is loved by all the big boys. They would not be happy if Krug was not signed he was our best player in the playoff when things really count. He has developed his game so much. No one can replace what he brings.

Krug being signed definitely creates flexibility to trade prospects. Don’t think Vaakanainen is as valuable as Brannstrom, but I would absolutely move him tomorrow for the right player.

i hope that new player would be a chara replacement on first pairing LHD because definitely not confident in krug or Gryz assuming first pairing defense roles. Especially with Krugs 5v5 history of getting relatively low quality of competition and not the best 5v5/even strength defensive stats to go along with it. I like Gryz but not sure about him in that first pairing role either.

Krug was missed on the three on three part of the game another thing that must be kept in mind. I like what Mac and Grizz brought but they don’t have the juke moves or the outlet passing of Krug.

So I guess Kampfer will play in place of Krug? I’d rather see Zboril get a chance since he actually plays LD, but I’m guessing they go with Kampfer.

the idea of losing him breaks my heart, but I don't see how they can keep Krug, Coyle, AND Debrusk. I think they lose/trade at least one, if not 2 of them.

A team that lost G7 of the Cup, and has just a good of a shot this year to get back there, does not trade a Krug-type player midseason.

If he walks, he walks.
I expect him to stay with the team. I ultimately think they will work something out, that being said I agree, could very much be an “own rental”

Exactly.

Unless things go way South here they won’t be dealing Krug mid season. If they were going to deal him they would have this off-season.

My guess is they give him some sort of bridge deal, he’s already made it clear he’ll take a pay cut to play here so I don’t see why Donny would let him walk.

Anyone notice over the past couple seasons how the Bs come out of a funk when Krug returns from injury? It's no accident. Other players go out of the lineup and somehow the Bs adjust and are ok. Krug goes out of the lineup and it's not so good. Anyone who thinks there is a Krug "replacement" on this team (or most other teams for that matter) is dreaming. Krug is a unique player who is as important to this team's success as anyone. Only way I don't re-sign him is if I am able to use that money to pick up an established surefire top 6 scoring winger who can somewhat compensate for the lost offense in losing Krug. Best case scenario, they keep Krug and find a scoring top 6 winger somehow, obviously.
