To Montreal:
William Nylander

To Toronto:
Max Domi
2020 3rd Round Pick

Montreal needs goal scoring and Toronto needs some gritty talent to play alongside Tavares. I feel like this is a lateral move but addresses pretty big needs in both organizations. What do you guys think? Also, how much does Domi sign for?

The Habs would take this but i don't want to face Domi every time we face the Leafs.

No chance the Leafs do that trade, Domi contract status of two years of team control only, with a new deal this summer and he has arb rights walking him to UFA for free in two years only.

Domi has 251 points in 375 GP (0.67 PPG)
Nylander has 221 points in 307 GP (0.72 PPG)
Nylander has played with way better players his entire career.

I'm not putting this in the mega Domi thread since the ones between leafs and habs usually doesn't take long before it just gets shut down. the two fan bases don't play well together. so keep in mind this is on thin ice to start with. besides no matter how you feel about the trade, the odds of the 2 sides trading together outside of small moves is unlikely.

Domi doesn't have that kind of value.

All our proposals are highly unlikely.
Nylander is a player on the rise; Domi is trending the other way. I could see this happening if the Habs would take extra money to balance the deal.

You know i never realized they were so close and with Domi being a much gritter player.
Why are we adding that pick again?

I wouldn't be a true Leafs fan if I didn't try to tip the scales in our favour lol.

After the kind of season Nylander had I wouldnt trade him for an older and inferior player who will probably ask for term and dollar as Willy. I'm open to move him to upgrade on defence though.
