I’m an Avs fan, so I wont talk poorly about your new player. Just never felt comfortable giving him term when he was an Avs RFA.

If the advanced stats are right and this guy is a minor downgrade on kadri, then this is awesome. Kadri scored 16 goals and 44 points last year for us. If Ketfoot can get close to 15 goals and 40 points making 15 less, this is a great deal.

And reminder he is 24. He can still improve a ton and exceed the value of this deal.

Got our 3rd line locked up for 10.1m. Pretty solid. We'll be able to flip any of them in a year or two once the next wave of Marlies are ready to graduate.

This seemingly pushes the projected space for Mitch Marner down to 9.5M.

Assuming Ceci gets 4.5M.


With this deal being the term it is, I wonder if a 3x2 or 3x3 deal for Ceci makes more sense, to bring our room back to 10.5-11M for Marner
