It's a return, so there's always a chance with that. Rejoins Polak with Dallas. Hopefully the condition works out.

I am so glad I will no longer be hearing:

"Dubas said in an interview that he likes Carrick, and he just signed him to a 1 year deal".

There see! He's being a General Manager: 1. Damage Control statements to ease fans.
2. Doing what is best for the team.

Called it.........thought return would be a bit better though. Meh
1 more contract off the books and cap savings.

Essentially replaced our draft pick we used to get Pontus Holmberg... Well done Kyle!

Those Winnik deals still paying dividends
In retrospect when we received Carrick we all had hoped he could pan out nicely, oh well - it's tough when a coach doesn't trust you so I hesitate to say how much of a shot he really got here.

I'm ULF from 1955 and I approve of this trade.

Babcock wouldn't use him so he now gets a chance to see what he really is.

I didn't like his game, but I don't like everyone's game kind of like art.

A 7th is better than nothing but we could have avoided all of this had the leafs acquired a 6th/7th instead of him in the first place.
