This is true. At the time- it didn't seem like a terrible trade. It actually looked like a good hockey trade. Unfortunately, Barrie didn't pan out. If he did- then Toronto is probably sitting comfortably in a playoff spot going into March.

The logic behind this trade made some sense - move a valuable forward for a needed defenseman and a lesser replacement forward.

Unfortunately, Barrie was such a bad fit in Toronto, had a colossally bad year, and is a free agent.


As solid as Kerfoot has been, this one goes down as a goof.
