I doubt you will see that"scoring touch" in the NHL, Rychel is getting first line minutes in the AHL with higher skilled line mates propping up his stats. He is a scrub.

Some major inaccuracies in this post. Rychel still spends the majority of his time playing 2nd or 3rd line in the AHL (mostly 3rd). Has not been on the same line as Griffith for example, who is almost singlehandedly raising most payers point totals. His most skilled linemate in the last month has been Johnsson.
He is getting a boatload of his points on the PP, but that began around the time Leipsic and Kapanen went down, and before Griffith showed up. Not the greatest 5v5 scorer, so concern over his "scoring touch" in NHL is likely legit.
His best chance on the big team is becoming an energy player in the bottom 6, and replace one of JVR or Komarov (if they move on) as the net front presence on the PP.
I still think a Rychel-Nylander-Kapanen line could have some success at some point.

As a guy who watches Rychel regularly, I can tell you that minus that one stretch of bad games near the beginning of the year, he has been lights out. That one stretch is the only reason why he's not up there with Leipsic and Kapanen in the PPG category. Guy plays like JvR but uses his body better and while not possessing quite the high end skill JvR has, could quite possibly be a very good 2nd liner. There is a reason he was picked for the AHL All Star game when Leipsic and Kapanen couldn't go.

The only reason why he's on the 2nd/3rd line is so that the Marlies can bring out their offense in waves. Moore-Griffith bring skill and speed. Then they face Rychel and Johnson. Then they face Timashov and Smith. It's a never ending cycle of speed and skill going right down the opposition's throat.

Rychel-Nylander-Kapanen could be an excellent 2nd line for many years.

Would really like to see Rychel given a real chance at some point with the big club.

He really is the closest thing we currently have to a true power forward and could bring a heavier game to our top 9. Would create a lot of space for whoever he plays with on his line.

Hoping he is protected in the expansion draft and he gets his chance.

Rychel is not a scrub. He is actually a pretty good player with some nice hands around the net. He is someone who could do well in a 3rd line role.

This & also take Barilko & SeaofBlue's words. Lonewolf's comment would indicate little knowledge.
