I doubt you will see that"scoring touch" in the NHL, Rychel is getting first line minutes in the AHL with higher skilled line mates propping up his stats. He is a scrub.
Some major inaccuracies in this post. Rychel still spends the majority of his time playing 2nd or 3rd line in the AHL (mostly 3rd). Has not been on the same line as Griffith for example, who is almost singlehandedly raising most payers point totals. His most skilled linemate in the last month has been Johnsson.
He is getting a boatload of his points on the PP, but that began around the time Leipsic and Kapanen went down, and before Griffith showed up. Not the greatest 5v5 scorer, so concern over his "scoring touch" in NHL is likely legit.
His best chance on the big team is becoming an energy player in the bottom 6, and replace one of JVR or Komarov (if they move on) as the net front presence on the PP.
I still think a Rychel-Nylander-Kapanen line could have some success at some point.
