Zaitsev has negative value with that contract, You'll need to add more to get rid of him and hoping to return Mayfield with his cheap contract at 1,45Mil for 4,5 more years!
The Brown trade seems fair
And Gudas change the 4th for a 2nd and i think its fair

I don't have any issue with the trades outside of the fact that cumulatively, that's a lot of picks to be giving up in the next two years unless they get a return close to what you suggest for Brown.

Of course, they may not have much choice. In any case, this is the Summer where Dubas really earns his salary.

That’s a no for Gudas. The ask is at least a 2nd + 3rd. Nothing less. If not, then move on.

The Isles are taking on an additional 4m a season plus futures for a low cost, right hand shot defenseman? What benefit does this give them?

Teams aren't going to 'help out' Dubas by taking Zaitsev for anything short of a Leafs overpayment.
Toronto shot themselves in the foot as soon as they signed Nylander, and now they've comically given Matthews a higher aav than Tavares

You're already against the cap with a 20 man roster. You need 2/3 more players and don't have the cap to do it.

I am not afraid to admit it

I was not the MORON that inked Melander and Mytthews

We are royally screwed, no two ways about it.
