Semen Varlamov is the top ranked Russian goalie, and VERY deservedly so. I dont know if there are any other stellar 2006 draft goalies, but this guy is praised very unusually high for a Russian goalie. More hype then Barulin even, who admittedly isn't rated highly by HF as all young Russian goalies in the RSL like Koshechkin aren't for some reason.

The American goalies to keep an eye on are Billy Sauer from the University of Michigan and Joe Palmer of the U18 Team. Sauer's 17 and playing a fair amount for a pretty good NCAA team.

Jonathan Bernier is stellar...he is going to be a real franchise type of goalie.

Michael Saure and Joe Palmer should be very high picks as well...1st roundish.

Niko Hoivonen, JC Blanchard and Leland Irvin should both be pushing for 1st round to 2nd round spots.

Ryan Mior from the PEI Rocket has to be considered in the early rounds as well as Ilya Ejov of the Fog Devils. If it were'nt for these two for the respective teams, they'd each have about 6 points this year.

Jonathan Bernier is a good one, really good. I seen him first hand and he kept Lewiston in the game. Blanchard is also pretty good for Moncton but they have such a good team its hard to tell.
