New article on HF, Top drafted goaltenders in the WHL

I guess I understand seeing Kuemper up there, a lot of people like him. However, what I don't understand is Pickard at n'5. I personally would have him as the best in the WHL, just wondering if I'm giving him a free pass for doing well on a bad team. Is he blowing games up for them at times? From my understanding, Seattle is as bad as they come but Pickard makes them good enough so they don't get blowed up every night. Same goes for Carruth. Portland has a bunch of nice prospects but he does a heck of a job for them still. Just wondering why Pickard and Carruth are 5,6 when I'd have them in the top 3.

Nice to hear about progress of Simpson/Carruth

Nice for Hawks system to have guys showing promise. With addition of Salak our goalie depth in organization went from bleak to promising within months

It would be interesting to see Pickard play with a strong team in front of him. He has been facing rediculous amounts of shots for the past three seasons in Seattle, and even the Team Canada team he played on was fairly week as well.
