top 50 easy....

This is a topic I was going to bring up in the Sens forum actually. How many Sen prospects will be in the top 50? Don't forget Filatov, who was ranked 25th before the trade. Will that trade change his HF rank? IMO it could go either way. It says a lot about HF evaluation if he gets dropped because of a trade, but it also says something if they leave him on the list.

There is an outside chance for Silfverberg as well I suppose. He was 22nd in SEL scoring and names to the Swe. WC team. I think he would slot in the 60-70 range myself.

Silfverberg was Very good at wc, loved how he went for rebounds and all. Looked Very NHL ready. I might consider him in top 50. I'm in love with sens prospect pool, silfverberg+ziba will Create hell, high end talents like rundblad, surefire prospects like cowen.

Considering what Filatov was traded for, I think it is pretty clear he is not considered a top-50 prospect by any GM in the league at this point.

I bet most still think he's a top 50 talent wise. There is however a large amount of risk with him, I think if the NHL doesn't work for him this year he is gone.

FEL is not a great league at all, At best it is the #5 league in the world, Nino would likely put up similar numbers there. I don't know how you can say a player who has never played a shift in the NHL is more proven than another prospect who plays on another continent, that you have likely seen play 5 times at most. Granlund is not clearly better at all, they are completely different players, and are both blue chip prospects. Stop being such a homer (whether you are Finnish or a Wild fan or both).

9 points in 9GP in the WC > 4 points in 6GP in the WJC, i have to say.

Stop being such a homer.

Lando went from hero to zero. He and Couturier had the "get picked apart" treatment during the last season and Huberdeau will probably consistently outpoint Landeskog.

Stefan Elliott, Joey Hishon, and Gabriel Landeskog are unquestionably top 50 prospects from the Avs. Calvin Pickard, Ty Barrie, and Duncan Siemens could be on there but are more likely top 75 at this moment.

Never mind 50, Dobber has 215.

http://www.dobberhockey.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=106:top-215-prospects&catid=26:rankings

I few of the rankings are eye-browsers but keep in mind that they are listed by value in hockey pools, not NHL upside.

Too you put that second part, because I was just going to come in here and watch the fireworks

I agrere with Landi and Hishon, bother top 25, but Elliot is not in the top 50 in my opinion.

Considering what Filatov was traded for, I think it is pretty clear he is not considered a top-50 prospect by any GM in the league at this point.

That is what I was alluding too. He was 25th before the trade. If he gets dropped, as it would seem likley to do, what it says is.... "Well, he was a high draft pick and we really were just guessing despite his struggles" This IMO sends a bad message, but likewise keeping him on the list says they still hold him in high regard.
