Always loved the mix of mobility and IQ of Erik Branstrom. I was thinking 1.5 year ago that he would standout in the NHL quickly but still, I'm not stressed about him. To much talent, to much speed.

Norlinder manipulate the play like no one. Yeah Seider had a little bit of Hedman in him, but Norlinder has something special.

31 out of 31 GMs take Seider over Norlinder.

and where is he on your list? top 30? top 40? Say if you had to slot him on a list.

Probably not even in the top 50. That poster is very low in Brannstrom, he didn’t even have him in his top 8 of only Sens prospects.

I don't see Kirill Marchenko on your list. It must be an error. He's playing better than Podkolzin, Kravtsov and Denisenko this year in the KHL.

The OP obviously hates Columbus prospects

I'll forgive him - probably just hasn't seen the player. A skills coach like OP would obviously love Marchenko.

I clicked on his previous "top 130" and he boldly ranked Voronkov 33rd, Foudy 123rd, and Marchenko unranked.

I don’t get how Foudy, a 1st rounder who has shown flashes in the NHL, is not top 50.

Not sure what you see in Liljegren. I don't think he's anything special. I think he's a bottom six pairing defenseman, and it's been slowly setting in stone the more I watch him. I think he's a good prospect to have in a pinch, but I don't see the top-four status he was purported to have when he was drafted -- let alone the top billing as a first overall pick he was slated to be a year before the draft.

He didn't see Marchenko at the WJC last year? Was he on vacation?

you should watch him play. A LOT of specialists sees him as the #1 Swedish D atm... so please stop with your takes.

I really don't give a shit. He and Seider are playing in the same league and one is clearly better than the other, so stop with your takes.

I hope I don't get warned for quoting your post, but I agree with you. You can see in past posts that I'm a bit cautious about Seider, but I think he is a far better player than Norlinder. The similarities are stupid to begin with, and Seider's skills translates well to the NHL game already; and that's not even including his size.

I think it would be understandable if someone had Foudy just outside of the top 50. He's useful but the upside is questionable.

Not sure why you would. If they wanted the word on the censor list, they wouldn't have removed it haha.

It's not even really a criticism of Norlinder. Seider is just on a different level from any other defender playing right now, and as he continues to put up offensive numbers, suddenly those Hedman comparisons that got scoffed at a year ago aren't being scoffed at so easily.

Detroit fans are watching Frolunda games, just so you know. In fact we talk a lot of Swedish hockey right now on our board, because we have I think over 10 guys playing in the SHL and Allsvenskan. But Frolunda and Rogle are must see viewing right now for a lot of Detroit fans that follow prospects.

My actual reaction to this is while I see a NHL player when I have watched their games I haven't been overly impressed with him. I have a friend in the scouting industry that is a fan. I have heard good things, I see more of a middle pairing guy in most of my viewings. I think he is going to have some adjusting to NA and I don't see crazy offense, it is solid but I just don't see what his biggest fans do, certainly his numbers should be better for some of the cases I have seen on Norlinder.

"I really don't give a shit" is a cool and intelligent way to argue your point I guess lol...

I don't really need to argue the point. Seider being a better prospect than Norlinder doesn't really need arguing.

So again, I really don't give a shit if a random analyst thinks Norlinder is Sweden's best defensive prospect.
