It's not like McDavid's edgework is weak compared to Crosby's. I get the guy has a lot of highlights where he makes defenders look silly behind the net, but McDavid is definitely on his level (even if he hasn't shown to quite be his equal yet). It's just becoming one of those HF tropes "Crosby has the best edgework of anyone to ever play hockey" "Crosby is a generational grinder"

In all seriousness, I think Crosby, McDavid, and Skinner are the clear top 3 in that regard.

Now that my fav player got beaten by McDavid in the all stars show, im inclined to claim that the difference between top 10 best skaters and top 5 aint that big of a difference...
