Good list La-La-Laprise. It's always interesting to have an idea of future draft.

Looks good though IMO I would switch Paquet and Bourdon and I would put Levasseur 3rd on the list.

I probably have Lavasseir ranked a bit low, waiting to see what he can do in Junior.

Same for guys that were just picked like Noreau, Blanchard, Labrie and Ouellet, and the rest of the guys from AAA (Pare etc).

Its hard to rank them too high becuase they havent played in Junior.

La La Laprise ........I have read many of your comments, and find them very interesting

I like your ranking of the PEI guys. Was hoping Hawes would be asked to go to the Canadian U 18 camp with Gragnani & Moir. PEI like Size, and this years picks followed the same trend. 10 of 14 are 6'0" or bigger. Also most "walk ons" from N.S. for this years camp, are big boys as well.

What do you think of this year's PEI draft picks, especially the Maritime kids ?

Surprised to see Romy Elayoubi so low.

How did he play this past season?

There was some hype about him during last years QMJHL draft.

Francis Paré is incredibly skilled...I have played with him for many years and he never stops improving. Very mature for a young guy, too.

That's really sad to see Elayoubi at 34. In 2002, he was supposed to be up there with Crosby for this draft.

Oh...if you ask me, he was horrible. Got benched all playoff long by the new Sags coach. He played 2 games out of 17 I think in the playoffs. Has all the skills needed (was predicted top 5 for the 2005 draft) but no heart.

And oh, this MacSween guy shouldn't be on the top 40. The only asset he have is his size. He can barely skate. And I'd put Verreault-Paul ahead of Elayoubi.

I hope Francis plays the same way he did last year with CCL, he's small but he can do a lot of damage in the offensive zone and he's a hard working kid with a good attitude.

He is, but the reason i didnt rate him higher was because his skating is poor, plus he is small. Unless he grows or improves his skating he wont be taken too high.

They did well i find :) I knew they would pick big. Pascal Boutin is really skilled and has size, but his skating needs some work.

MacSween will be picked ahead of Verrault-Paul because he is almost a foot taller.

Its not a talent contest when it comes to the NHL, unfortunatly.

Have you seen MacSween play? I have and he looked like a midget out there. I would be surprised if he get drafted in the NHL.

And oh Laprise, could you tell me about the two Sags first round pick? I know one if Alex Tanguay's little brother...but he is only 5'7 135 pounds or something :shakehead

MacSween is 6'05 210...were you watching the right player? Verrault-Paul is 5'07 on a good day.

Tanguay -- reminds me of PM Bouchard in the way the game slows down when he has the puck. Very good vision, he isnt a goal scorer though more of a playmaker. Skating needs work and he is a twig but other then that a good player.

Cesar -- What can i say, I dont mean to brag but i was talking about him being a 1st-2nd rd pick 4 months ago when the Q didnt rank him. He reminds me of MA Fleury. Very athletic, raw and fiesty. Get him some quality coaching and he should be amazing.

Blanchard -- Skinny like Tanguay but better skater. All around offensive player. 87 born so should be able to step in and play right away on a 2nd line perhaps. Or Martel can ease him in.

Midget in talent, not in size. That's what I meant for MacSween.

Thanks for the info. Could Tanguay make it to the NHL like his brother?

That is what i thought you meant, but didnt realize until after i responded :) Well MacSween needs time. I am sure if he even looks half decent the NHL will draft him.

Tanguay has his work cut out for him. He is 5'08 135!!! lol Unless he gets to at least his brothers size i dont think he has a shot. Alex is more a goal scorer, at 19 he was making people look silly, 15 pts in 3 games before Kloucek put him out. I dont think Maxime has that type of upside.
