Time now for Poll 2 where I added Zdeno Chara and voted for Ray Bourque, if you wish to see me add someone let me know.

Remember to vote based upon a player's time with the team in ? and not their overall career.

On tap to be added:

LW- Brad Marchand
C-Patrice Bergeron
RW-Cam Neely
D-Brad Park
G- Tim Thomas

Eddie Shore. Only Howe and Gretzky have more Harts and he was ranked #10 on Hockey News list of best players of all time.

Obviously, a very old school choice.

I've been thinking about things today and have decided to reduce these to top 10 polls for all teams. That way you won't run into instances of virtual unknowns being voted for to fill out the list.

Bourque > Shore. Realize that Hart voting was very different back then pre-Norris (Dmen got much more consideration across the board, although that doesn't discount Shore's still winning 4 times). Bourque won 5 Norris' during the absolute peak of Dmen in the NHL, with guys like Chelios, Coffey, Howe, MacInnis, etc. all in their respective primes. He was robbed out of a Hart of his own due to basically tying Messier, and he played a 200 foot game.

Shore spent most of his time in the penalty box, and frankly that Bruins team was stacked and should have won more Cups. Bourque was on a middling team that somehow got close to the Cup a few times despite being insanely outclassed in all other positions except #1D.
