But the 2nds in 2017 and 2018 can still be traded.

Anyway, out of 5 drafts, Bergevin drafted 5 times in the 2nd round, so it's a non-issue, especially if, like you're saying, those 2nds are used to acquire usefull NHL players (Vanek, Petry and Shaw)

and having 5 in the next two seasons means trading a couple leaves us still even.

I'm surprised De La Rose is getting so many votes. He's literally shown no offensive improvement in years. He's a fine defensive player, but those guys aren't valuable prospects.

Picked Bitten.

our lack of depth has nothing to do with first round picks. bergevin gives out second rounders more than gainey gauthier ever did
I'd trade 3 rounders for Jeff Petry without even batting an eyelash.

Yes but we don't know that yet. We'll see when we get there.

I think it's a safe bet he will use a couple 2nds to help land an upgrade somewhere in the roster over the next two years. But I don't see him trading them all away unless he has others coming in.

DLRs game isn't offense but that doesn't make him a worse prospect because of it...you need guys like him. He will be a useful player for us maybe as early as this coming season.

Bitten please.

De la rose's celing is a dime a dozen 4th liner. He has no offence. He'll offensively nullify any 3rd line in the NHL.
