In a rather open field Phillip Danault took the last poll by a healthy % (44.68)

Can we just omit Raanta? Rating goalies with skaters is impossible and I don't think many people even consider him a prospect. He's older and spent a near full season with the Hawks.

HF system considers Raanta and Rundblad still prospects

As for rating ,, If Raanta didn't fail like he did last year I am sure he would have already been voted in

I have a sneaky feeling Rundblad could make us all look pretty stupid, maybe even this year.

Eh, I can't speak for others, but I'm intentionally not voting for him as I don't view him as a prospect, period.

Did you vote for Morin?

39 NHL games + 2 playoff games in career so far is really no different then Raanta

+ only 2 year age difference (Raanta 25 and Morin 23). Its not like Raanta is Sergei Makarov

Not really, though. Morin spent a considerable amounts of time in Rockford still, Raanta spent almost an entire season as our backup and looks to be our backup moving forward.

He's full time NHL, even if he's not our #1 netminder. That's the distinction between a prospect and a regular in my book.

This all really doesn't matter

Neither Raanta or Runblad are top 10 among players listed (Maybe even not top 15 or 20) so its a rather moot point

No. Raanta, Hayden and Rundblad are the next 3 off the board in some order, guaranteed.

Yeah, people who are complaining about Raanta, but voted for Morin are a little off base I think. Both have near the same GP in the NHL, and both are locks for the team this year. I see no difference.

Fans might vote that way...but I agree with BWC. And let's face it, once McNeill and Hayden are off the board - there's a pretty significant drop-off in the Hawks prospects.

Hayden until he wins

I don't consider Rundblad and Raanta as prospects any more... HF can say what they want ;)

I think its a lot easier to accrue games played at wing vs (back up) goalie.
