Is there anyone out their who can give me a top 150 prospect list (your opinion) for the 2005 NHL entry draft? It is pretty clear to me who the top 10 will be but after that I have no clue. If you can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Johnson #2 Brule #3? Yes, I saw Johnson this year a few weeks ago and he blew me away, and after a very impressive four nations tournament, I got to go with him at #2. I just love the guys game.

Also Bobby Ryan and Pouliot are probally higher then most lists have them but I have fallen in love with those two elite players.

Kindl and Latendresse are falling a bit IMO. Neither is really been bad, just hasn't controlled and dominated as expected. But Kindl oooozes potential and so does Latendresse so they are not falling very far.

Johnson could very well go #2 overall - to a team that needs young defenceman. Brule is still hands down the 2nd best player.

Great list yet again though Shark.

I agree. I think Johnson goes 3-5 depending on team needs. The top 5 this year will be excellent.

Kindl is going to go a lot higher than most OHL fans here think he will. Too many CHL fans can't separate what works in juniors from what works in the NHL. Witness people wondering why Lascek isn't considered a legitimate prospect by NHL teams.

You got it backwards.

If a player can produce at the junior level, it doesn't mean he'll do it at the pro level.

If a player can't produce at the junior level, it definitely means he can't do it at the pro level. Not unless there's a massive developing period between the time he leaves juniors and arrives in the NHL.

Jakub Kindl will drop off the face of the planet.

Yep, it's the same story with Gawlik. From going #15 to #34. That's quite a step.

Not necessarilly. There are some instances of players being better pros than juniors.

Can't think of any top defenseman that managed to produce close to nothing in junior hockey.

I think the Attacks Kevin Baker may sneak into the top 150...he's slowly gaining momentum...more ice time this year too...
