No Marcel Goc??

Great list all in all. Everyone's going to have some people rated a bit higher or lower based on personal bias and how much they actually saw of each player, but its darn near impossible to rank the world's top 100 prospects even for professional scouts.

In reguards to "No Marcel Goc", he probably shouldn't even be listed from #78-100 either. Goc isn't expected to be a big scorer and should have some trouble cracking the team's #2 center spot even after a few years of NHL experience (Marleau and Hennessey should fill those roles), so i have a hard time putting a 3rd line center (even a very good one) on a top 100 prospects list. I guess you can say the same about a guy like Mike Richards, who despite putting up a lot of points in juniors, is expected to be more of a strong two-way 3rd liner. I dunno.

I don't get it. Toivonen is our best prospect yet everyone is ranking him lower than our second best prospect Mark Stuart.

Nice list Cayouche :handclap: .Don't take too much attention at some opinions. Some poster are giving opinions and etc... about your list when they don't have enough guts to post their own ranking.

Isn't it great how everyone and their grandma has an opinion on other people's lists but no one is putting out their own list. At least one guy had the balls to lay it all out there to let everyone else criticize him for forgetting someone or putting one guy too high or too low.

It takes to long to make a list and there's really no point to it seeing that I have'nt seen many prospects play and therefore dont know much about their playing abilities.

I think this is by far the best list

Marcel Goc may abe a bit too high but he defently deserves to be on the list
Just look at his performance in the WC exabition games
3gp 3g 1a 4pts

I think Stewart should also be a little higher

I would rank Kostitsyn 5th after Lehtonen - Ovechkin - Malkin and Phaneuf..

Perezhogin ranks in the top 20 (People underrate him a big time)

Plekanec Chipchura and Higgins in the top 60 (Plekanec is grossly underrated... pathetic :shakehead )

I dont think Balej should be up there. I like him, but I dont think he has huge upside. I think Lundqvist should be in his place though.

Lundqvist is a goalie...

I dont know much about him but its harder to evaluate a goalie than a skater.

About 2 years from now... When you will see what I meant.

Did you see Perezhogin play in the second half of the last season?

He was the leading scorer tie with Semin in the AHL playoffs just before his suspension... He was something like +5 in 5 games playing great in both ends of the ice... Perezhogin' skills, vision and competitiveness are great, he has solid first line winger wrote all over him... Its not to be bias its fact, just wait and see...

Kostitsyn is a top level prospect and I would'nt trade him for any players other than Lehtonen, Ovechkin, Phaneuf and Malkin... You will see why management and most Habs fans are so high on him!

Then you have Plekanec, ranked 6th best AHL player by the hockey news

http://bb.hockeybird.com/viewtopic.php?t=9461

Then you have Higgins, ranked 10th best AHL player by the hockey news at his first PRO year...

Then you have Chipchu... Is it insane to say he ranks in the top 60?

Wait and see... Habs prospects are'nt overrated over here, they are underrated by the simple fact that most of Habs fans dont want to be considered Homer!

Do you ever heard about Balej before he got traded to NY Rangers in return of Kovalev? Do you ever heard about Urquhart? ...early second round selection in 2003... We hear about Henessey, Vrana, OSullivan, Bergeron... Do you know who is Urquhart? Do you know about his amazing stickhandling skills?

Take a look at this... http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=14298

From a Bruins fan..

Marcel, Marian's brother... still is a very solid prospect and will play a big role on an offensive line for us next year... Do you hear many Habs fans talking about him saying how good he is?

Marcel would easily be a top 5 prospect in most organisations...
