Lucic listed before Big John Scott? :shakehead

Big John Scott who was in the pressbox when the Hawks played the Bruins. You'd think v.s. a tougher team he'd be playing if he's a good enforcer. Can't wait till the Bruins-Hawks play again since Scott said he'd "kick the ****" out of Thornton

IMO MacIntyre is two for two in situations where he absolutely had to stand up for a teammate. Once was the Staubitz hit on Paajarvi and then there was a game where Vandermeer beat up Pouliot really bad after scoring a goal.

Here's the fight that followed.

That's what I call enforcing. The league needs more of that.

Matt Carkner is being ranked as #1 by a lot of fight fans because he beat Boogaard and Godard. He was only 9-2-2 because of injuries this past year. He also TKO'd Rypien and beat Shawn Thornton.

Shawn Thornton is probably the best out of any enforcer at actually playing the game (best hockey IQ out of any enforcer I'd say) but I don't think he's a top 10 enforcer in the league. He's a little too undersized, and he's really not that great of a hitter.

I don't know enough about most of the fighters out west to make a whole top 10 list, but I do know that Parros is one tough customer with one awesome mustache. I think the stache alone makes him the leagues top enforcer.

Thornton is the only one who can actually take a regular shift and fight anyone in the league. thats what makes him so valuable. this list starts and ends with him. he is the ****ing man

Well Carkner plays upwards 15+ mins a game and fights anyone. I know hes a dman which is odd for a HW.

He doesn't enforce anything, gets beat up by guys like Mike Rupp, Daniel Carcillo, Bryce Salvador, Boris Valabik. Not an enforcer, not top 10 in anything.

Disagree, those are some questionable losses, however in terms of value, leader for minutes and points for an enforcer. Those losses are balanced by string of wins and strong showings against a long list of top 10 heavies, he is a good hockey player who takes all comers and would be a strong candidate for top enforcer.

Parros lead the whole league in Major's with 27 and people dont have him on a top 10 list ?
the guy did a great job last year protecting the youngster in the bottom 6

Ok seeing how high MacIntyre is ranked, I might be hating on the guy too much after the Pens signed him, might be a decent pick-up after all.

How is Lucic not number one? He can beat the crap out of anyone, he can score 30+ goals, hes built like an ox, and he has a Stanley Cup ring. And no I'm not a bruins fan.

Carkner takes all comers, Neil is a tough customer, but picks his spots.

How that makes Neil a way better enforcer vexes me as a Senators fan.

As a Sens fan I have seen Neil fight a crap load of fighters I believe he takes on all comers. check out hockeyfights.com and go through his fight lists per season its very impressive. As for picking spots, yes he does if you mean that he turns down fights if his team is down by one or two goals but that is just being a smart hockey player and not a dumb goon lol.

edit: ex Sens fan now as the Jets are back!!!!!! I would have Neil over Carkner all day on the Jets

The Penguins have 2 excellent enforcers in MacIntyre and Engelland. Thou Engo is a little small he can play regular minutes and not hurt his team plus he can still throw with the best of em. MacIntytre is probably the most intimidating enforcer in the NHL right now, and probably the most destructive too.
