I dunno if as a person is the words I would use, but as a player I like Tatars style a lot more and he was a more entertaining player to watch. Theyre close, but overall Nyquist seems like a more effective player overall

Nyquist is the better playmaker/passer, Tatar is the better finisher/goal-scorer.

I always like Tatar's compete level a bit more, but Nyquist is the better overall player. He's a better skater, better defensively, more cerebral, better hockey IQ, and better passer, where Tatar is more of a sparkplug type and better finisher.

They’re both kinda frustrating because they show flashes being legit star players but can’t seem to consistently play like that. Very few can though. Tatar is the far better possession player though. I’d probably take him. Hopefully we get a similar return for Nyquist this year.

Both will always have a special place in my heart though.
