Can the arbitrator add games to the suspension?
No one outside of your fan base is going to feel sorry for you. He keeps doing the wrong thing time after time. Needs to change what he is doing or find another line of work. It's not just about points. When opponent can't match talent he starts to take some liberties. Wilson is there to calm down them. So far this season, pretty every team is dirtier with Caps than when Wilson was in the lineup. That's one thing, another one, it's chemistry with Ovy and Kuzy. Caps have tried 3-4 players at his position until now, nothing is working yet. Wilson is definitively a game changer for Caps.
Im not asking for an empathy here, just wanted to prove his not some kind of replaceable bottom 6 player as poster before was suggesting. No one outside of your fan base is going to feel sorry for you. Yes, but he won't.
It's possible they will. Wilson was singled out to have a meeting in the off-season about dirty hits, then proceeds to target a players head in the preseason.
The point of a suspension isn't just a punishment, it's to teach a lesson. Wilson has shown that he isn't learning and doesn't care about other players safety. This whole process shows that he's still trying to take blame off himself, which will go against him with the independent arbitration
Biggest difference is that this is a suspension from the Player Safety department, none of those have gone to an arbitrator I believe. Bettman laid things out pretty well in his ruling, so Id be shocked if this was lowered. They used a pretty logical approach to this surprisingly. The NHLPA's stance has been that it shouldnt have been a suspension period, no way its going to be completely overturned. And Wilson has really shot himself in the foot with the amount of previous suspensions and warnings the NHL has given him.but fwiw its the same arbitrator who lowered austin watsons suspension so who knows

This. The fact that he even appealed this at all is a perfect illustration of why it was essential that his appeal be shot down. He's still refusing to behave like an adult and take responsibility for his actions. He's shown absolutely zero commitment to or interest in reforming. He can't accept that Tom Wilson is the lone reason why Tom Wilson has to sit out for 20 games, and that reveals a lot about his psyche. He's a baby trapped inside of a caveman's body.
Yeah I stopped when they said that the hit was avoidable. Lol of course it is at super slow mo. From the moment when Sunquist deeped his shoulder and Wilson braced himself for an impact, fractions of second passed. But, yeah, it was easy to avoid the head.
Ahhh so you're closed minded and refuse to accept ANY additional info?
This is how we get "jet fuel can't melt steel beams" and "chemtrails" and other nonsensical conspiracy theories
