The American Hockey League and Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announced on Thursday that right wing Tyler Toffoli was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star Team at the 2013 Dunkin’ Donuts AHL All-Star Classic to be played at the end of the month at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, in Providence, Rhode Island on January 27-28, 2013.
Toffoli has 18 goals and 11 assists for 29 points in 35 games for the Monarchs this season. Toffoli’s 18 goals lead all Monarchs skaters and are tied for first amongst AHL rookie skaters. The Scarborough, Ontario native has recorded two hat tricks this season and has five power play goals to lead the team. Toffoli also leads the club in plus/minus with a plus-13. This will be Toffoli’s first All-Star appearance.
