If the WJC is the only thing that you go by for scouting, then we have a GREAT WJC veteran named Jani Rita, give the Oilers 2 first round picks for him and you can have that WJC dynamo!!!

... whatever... it's not like Toews asked for any of the hype. You're the one who continually bashes the guy. Is it because you're country is going to fail to win a tournament that they were heavily favored to win and that the main reason is the lack of goal scoring by golden boy Kessel?? Canada will beat the US because we understand that hockey is a team sport... someone should tell Kessel that.

Dude, when you say stuff like that, you're just ASKING to eat crow later on. And plenty of people will be happy to call you on it.

For Canada to beat US that means that US will have to beat Russia...and if they can pull that off, then Canada's doomed

The buzz amoung scouts at the WJHC is that Toews is shining. He's a very effective and pretty dangerous player as a 17 year old in Brent Sutter's system. He is not losing any stock at this tournament.

But some random HF boards poster from the southern US with a personal agenda thinks he sucks.

    Tough call.

Bob McKenzie seemed to think the same thing before the Sweden-Finland game yesterday. Said that while Kessel's stock hasn't fallen, it hasn't risen either with his lack of goal scoring. Meanwhile, Toews' play has increased his value in the eyes of some.

  12. Because he doesn't like that anyone dare challenge his hero the one move wonder PHil Kessel for number 1 overall.

I fail to see the need for this thread to remain open. Note to everyone, re-read the rules on thread creation and what cuts it here. If it's a legitimate analysis of a players performance, its all good. If you want to flame a player or a poster, don't even bother.
