“Ryan is a dynamic, offensive hockey player with a strong commitment to the defensive side of the game, He has tremendous vision which enables him to excel at moving the puck and continue to be a dangerous player around the net. His quick, accurate release fools goaltenders and his will to win is endless"
Things did not play out as planned. There was a last minute scramble but we got the player we wanted. But maybe not in the way we wanted. He is a highly skilled centerman with lots of potential. Has a big body, good hands, but is still a bit raw. We are extremely happy to have Mark join our organization.
Mark McNeil is a hard nosed in your face player that resembles a Ryan Kesler type of forward. He had great offensive production on a weak Prince Albert team this season. His scoring ability along with his gritty style of play and great skating will be welcomed on the Toronto forward group in the future. His intangibles and leadership qualities should make him quite the NHL'er in his career.
Brandon Saad is a great powerforward and he will fill some big needs in Buffalo. He has a great size, a great shot, and he's going straight to the net. He will likely provide some space to our smaller forwards in the organisation.
