Each year my work holds a 3 game hockey tournament. These games are played over a 4-5 hour timeframe, with the first two games being back to back. By time I get to the third game I have very little energy left and I start to cramp up. I am looking for tips on things I can do to prepare. It is 1 week away.

Thanks!

I still play youth hockey, but when I go away for tourneys or camps, I bring along some coconut water and raisins.

The coconut water is a great way to stay hydrated, and the raisins are a light snack that helps with soreness.

Other than that, get on the ice a few times. The best way to get in shape for hockey is to play!

Its tough playing 3 games in a day but just workout. plan workouts around the duration of how long you will be playing get your body use to the physical workout you are putting it through.
