Does anyone know if the $650 million has been paid yet? Or partially paid? Or when it will be paid? Just curious as people discuss the financial health of teams going into next season.

It to be fully paid off next year.

In addition to the $$ to the other NHL owners/teams for the franchise, there's literally about 3 feet of paperwork that has to be filled out as part of the franchise application/approval/submission.

It will be touted loudly that the team has made their final payment and submitted all their paperwork. (Only then can they begin to sign undrafted free agents in advance of expansion draft or entry draft, or make trades. I would expect most trades involving "future considerations" -- IOW actions or inactions during the expansion draft -- to happen the week of the expansion draft. And when VGK came in, there was a trade moratorium, excluding trades with Vegas, around the expansion draft.)

650 million is the same amount Ernesto Escobado lost in a drug bust . Can you name the movie ? Don't cheat .

Ken Griffey Jr.

well no of course but did you know Ken Griffey Jr did get to play parts of 2 seasons with his father Ken Griffey Sr.....Dad was ready to retire but stayed around the game long enough to get to Seattle so he could play with jr. It was not a secret that he wanted to have a family reunion.

Wow that's a lot of coin!Salaries of the players,management,president,scouts,trainers,coaches...on top of that...At the gate the Seattle team will be a hit even during Co-Vid times! Good Luck Seattle Kraken may the time between 2021 and your next Stanley Cup be short...this is exciting...I love expansion and all the possibilities it brings...what I'd like to see is wide open 4 on 4 hockey and get rid of the gimmicky 3 on 3 and There is no room) 5 on 5,there time is done!
