Someone please confirm for me that if the Jets win tonight it’s a Habs vs Leafs 1st round?

I would prefer the Canucks pull out the win only so as to help ruin their draft position.

Listening to Halford and Brough (SN Vancouver), they want nothing more than a first round exit for the Leafs, or to have to face Boston in the final and lose again.

Now 3-0 Jets

Seriously? I've been waiting 42 years for another crack at MTL and you're talking about some crappy teams draft position? Who gives a shit about Vancouver's draft position? Who gives a shit about Vancouver, period?

I know Nash can potentially play a key role for us...I just hate seeing it at the expense of Galchenyuk. Guy has done nothing but work hard and be a hound on the forecheck. Thornton, Spezza, Simmonds aren't sitting and nor should they. They bring lots of intangibles with the wealth of experience. Toughness, leadership on and off the ice when things get tough, PP, faceoff specialist (Spezza), etc. Haven't loved Mikheyev this year and would likely sit him over Galchenyuk if it were up to me...but I'm sure there will be moving parts. Great issue we may have on our hands, since I'm complaining about too much depth

Yeah I feel the same way. Like you say though, moving parts ... he'll play at some point, probably first man in when a change is made.

Nash did a good job against the Leafs' forwards for years.

He will provide good shutdown hockey freeing up the forward lines to do damage. Plus, his playoff experience and ability to handle pressure are essential in the bottom six.

It's extremely unlikey that everyone stays healthy during a long playoff run, or if our playoff run looks like it's going to end, they don't move things around. Assuming he'll be out of the lineup for playoff game one, I can't see him not getting in at some point.

My body is ready! The 2 fanbases going at each other will be just as interesting to watch as the game on the ice.

Mainboards are anti-Leaf. How are we even going to have a fair chance to provide a "tit for tat" comment before the anti-Leaf hammer comes down?

I don't have twitter. I might sign up just to troll the F out of all the habs fans

I just feel it should be the other way around. Nash should be first man in if a change is made. Guys who have been here battling and playing well should get first crack imo

I think we might getting ahead of ourselves here, we don't even know when the playoffs start, much less who will be in the starting lineup. Not a huge worry in any case, I'm pretty sure we'll put the boots to MTL no matter who we play. :DD
