He doesn't skate the way he used to. He isn't shooting the way he used to. His passing looks fine, but thats about it. Even his faceoffs are down significantly.
A few months ago i would have said no chance McDavid is as good as Crosby, but at this point I would be shocked if he isn't the better player in 3 years.
