STM have now locked in their strips for Round 2+. With the new capacity in play, everything has been reshuffled to something closer to a normal setup. Currently the portal is open for STM to buy additional strips before they go on sale to the public.

Either I have a software glitch, or they're holding back 300-level corner sections as the final capacity restriction. I'm seeing 306-307, 320-322, 327-330, and 336-301 greyed out.

There are a ton of seats still available at this point. Some entire sections are virtually untouched. 302, 303, 304, 305, 306 have almost all tickets available with the exception of the area overhanging the red line. In the lower bowl, most of the seats high in the end zones are available. 106 and 117 (the sections facing each other in the defensive end zone) are very lightly touched.

Areas that have been mostly picked over: First 5-7 rows are completely gone in most areas. 101-105 (lower bowl, bench side, from the offensive zone to the defensive blue line) looks about 75% sold. 110-113 (defensive end zone) looks about two-thirds sold. 314 is about half-sold but the rest of the upper bowl end zones are lightly touched. 200 level is a mixed bag, with a few neutral-zone and defensive-end sections about half sold out, while other sections are entirely available.

BTW, a preview of how ticket prices will escalate going forward.

Below are full-season STM prices per seat by round. The prices are slightly higher for "additional" strips, which is basically the Canes taking a cut out of anyone buying for the purpose of reselling.

Sitting on the red line
Center Ice Terrace (300 level) $56 -> $75 -> $96 -> $145
Center Ice Club (200 level) $123 -> $168 -> $217 -> $332
Center Ice Preferred (100 level) $138 -> $185 -> $238 -> $364

Sitting in the offensive end behind the net
Shoot Twice Goal Zone (300 level) $38 -> $54 -> $70 -> $125
Club Ledge (200 level) $130 -> $175 -> $225 -> $360
Lower Level South Preferred (100 level, lower half of the section) $99 ->$132 -> $170 -> $259

Just to re-emphasize -- these are STM prices, not face values. STM who sign up right now, or existing STM who buy seats additional to their usual, pay $10-$20 more per seat than these numbers. Face values will run significantly higher. Bear in mind there's also a 7.5% sales tax and a $10 handling charge.

Should anyone have any spares for tomorrow, I am looking to attend and would love to be in the house! We're looking for 4 but 2 will surely work. Thanks in advance should anyone have any tickets available.

Islanders fan in peace. I live in Virginia and am looking to take my son to his first NHL game this October. Does PNC require vaccine or negative test? It seems to me they’re only requiring mask but want to make sure...thanks in advance! And good luck this season.

I imagine they're doing what the rest of the State is doing, just wear a mask and no questions asked.

Thank you. Short of going to a home game I can’t imagine a better experience for his first game. You guys have always been welcoming and it’s a great atmosphere.

depends on what you mean by “rest of the state”. I know some concert venues are requiring proof of vaccination or negative tests. some are driven by the artists, but others are the entire venue. Durham Performing Arts Center, for instance, is requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours for all events.

That said, from what I can tell, right now, PNC arena only requires a mask unless a performer demands otherwise and I believe masks were only “recommended” during playoffs last year?

Things can change/evolve though as WPG announced they will require proof of vaccination.

I mean, it's September. If we've learned anything through all this, we've learned that a lot can change in a month.

If you're unvaccinated and you want to come to the game, be ready to get a PCR test, I'd say. It would suck to buy the tickets and then have the policy change.

And yes, the couple of playoff games I went to had strict mask enforcement, and I don't expect that will change for a while yet.

To get in? Because looking back at the videos of the crowds, I'm not sure how strict they were with people in their seats.

Yes to get in. I was out front talking to Larry Perkins for one of the games and he said they would be watching.

If I didn't have the beer in my mouth the ushers were tapping my shoulder. Maybe more strict on the club level...IDK

They will probably require the online form again as well.

In the Tampa series they ditched the mask requirement. Still wouldn't bet against it returning though
