"The long wait is almost over. The 2015 NHL Draft kicks off Friday night. NBCSN will broadcast the first round starting at 6:30pm ET. The NHL Network will broadcast rounds 2-7 starting at Saturday 10am ET. The Stars will also be hosting a 2015 Dallas Stars Draft party starting at 6pm Friday at the Omni hotel in Dallas.

As previously mentioned in my 3 Reasons for Potential Stars Draft Day Trade article, I won’t be shocked if the Stars trade their pick. They won’t find immediate help with the #12 overall pick and their most pressing needs (defensive/physical defenseman and goaltending) are available on the trade block. Recently Stars beat reported Mike Heika also suggested the possibility of trading their 1st round pick."
