Backes looks fantastic these days. He looks genuinely healthy for the first time in a long time. He looks great offensively. Skating well. Poised with the puck in all 3 zones. He and Petro are responsible for so many of the transition chances generated by Steen and Oshie because of the smart, calm plays they're making in the defensive and neutral zones. The second goal last night being a prime example. (Also watch Backes nudge the puck to Steen with one hand which earned him the primary assist. Awesome play)
