Harri Säteri debuted in Panthers today/yesterday... It was 6 years 8 months and 25 days after he first dressed as backup.

Mike Rosati debuted in NHL at 7. of February 1998... It was 9 years 9 months and 3 days after he first dressed as backup.. Not suer if this is the record because there is no official record of backup goalies. But this is the longest period that I know.

Shoulda got one game in
Frederic Chabot was drafted 3 times in the NHL Expansion Draft (Tampa Bay, Nashville, Columbus).

Ken Hammond (San Jose, Ottawa), Rob Zettler (San Jose, Nashville), Andrew Brunette (Nashville, Atlanta), Lonnie Loach (Ottawa, Anaheim) Gord Murphy (Florida, Atlanta), Anatoli Semenov (Tampa Bay, Anaheim) and Tom Fitzgerald (Florida, Nashville) each played for two expansion teams in their inaugural season. Not sure if anyone has played for three teams but I would imagine someone has. Anyone confirm this?

Jussi Jokinen may join to the four team in same season club. Now if Jokinen plays today for Canucks he has represent 5 different NHL teams in the span of 332 days. Got intrested if that was the Record. No. Mark Arcobello represented five clubs in 286 days having the record.

I've been reading a book entitled: "Hockey's Glory Days: The 1950s & '60s," and I came across an odd player record from that era. Montreal Canadiens rookie forward Ed Litzenberger was traded to the Chicago Black Hawks during the 1954-55 season. As a result, he was credited with playing 73 games in a 70-game season.

Who's got others?

Same kind of "record", but I believe Bob Kudelski holds the records for most regular season games in a season...86 in 93-94 (84 game season). Guerin had 85 in 00-01 as well (82 game season).

In 71-72 Ross Lonsberry played 82 games when the NHL had a 78 game schedule. I think that's the highest difference between games played and games scheduled. He also played in the All-Star game that year.

Phil Esposito loved playing on his birthday, February 20. Four times in his career, Esposito scored his 50th goal of the season on his birthday. On February 20, 1972, Phil potted his 50th against his brother Tony.

Icings statistics for NHL teams

Maybe not particularly unusual, but I like this site. Lots of odd, barely useful information.

Dallas has somehow managed to dominate the league in icings for three straight years through two different coaches, and early this season looks to be no different. Lots of failed stretch passes from our first line + Klingberg seem to be the root cause.

What a difference there, Orr is almost plus 1 every game of the year on average, almost 30 ahead of Larry. While this stat gets some side glances nowadays this differential is pretty staggering.

That Guy Charron 734 games without a playoff appearance one is crazy!! Especially in that era, it can't have been easy to do. His career was a perfect-storm of team ineptitude or near-misses. Not surprisingly, he's a career -208.
His one year with Montreal - a sure bet to make the playoffs - was the year they missed it after winning the Stanley Cup the previous year, breaking 21 straight seasons of making the playoffs! Poor Guy!

His one year with Montreal - a sure bet to make the playoffs - was the year they missed it after winning the Stanley Cup the previous year, breaking 21 straight seasons of making the playoffs! Poor Guy!

Meanwhile in a Parallel Universe he has likely won 5 cups in a row with different teams.

On October 17, 1989, the Calgary Flames scored 2 shorthanded goals 4 seconds apart in an 8-8 tie at Quebec. That has to be a record for quickest time between SH goals by one team.

This same game featured the Nordiques blowing a 8-3 lead, with the Flames scoring 5 goals in the final 6:17 of regulation.
