The Thrashers in a press release welcomed Steve Sullivan to the fold. This sends a clear message that the Thrashers are sticking to their word and making a run at the playoffs. The Thrashers have struggled as of late going 2-7-1 in their last 10 and are currently in 10th place 4 points back from their division rivals the Hurricanes. As a result the Thrashers made this deal in order to try and spark some chemistry on the team and get them rolling again. In addition to Sullivan the Thrashers aquired Victor Oreskovich in exchange for their 3rd round picks in 2012 and 2013. This means the Thrashers top 6 will be rearanged and Maxim Lapierre will be move down to the third line. Thrice waivered Sheldon Souray also gets the call and will play alongside Doughty on the top line and see some PP time. The Trashers aren't taking any chances down the strech and it's all hands on deck.

Thrashers Lines:
Stamkos-Gagne-Tangauy
Langkow-Sullivan-Gaborik
Hall-Jackman-Lapierre
Rypien-Adams-Lundmark
