The Ducks would like to congratulate prospect Niklas Kronwall on winning the AHL's Eddie Shore award for best defenseman.

Kronwall is not the Ducks' only prospect to receive an AHL award this season. Earlier in the year, forward Tomas Plekanec was named MVP of the AHL All-Star Game. In addition, center Mike Cammalleri won a player-of-the-month award, and looks to be a top contender for the AHL's MVP award.

Good idea Matt.

The Red Wings would also like to congratulate Henrik Lundqvist.
Despite the SEL being loaded with several NHL goaltenders (Theodore, Gerber, Kipprusoff, Salo, Fernandez, etc.), not to mention having to face NHL level scorers, he was named the leagues top goaltender for the 3rd consecutive season.
To top it all off he lead his team to the SEL championship setting SEL playoff goaltending records in the process (1.07GAA, .962sav% and 6 SO in 14GP).

The Wings could have never imagined he would develop into such an elite level goaltending prospect when they selected him in the middle rounds of the 2000 draft and are ecstatic about his development. Hopefully Henrik can be convinced to come over to NA for the 2005/06 season.

Thanks goes to HF posters for links to all the stats.

Ducks' prospect garners an additional honor...

Add the AHL's Willie Marshall Award to Mike Cammalleri's collection of hardware. Cammalleri led the AHL in goal-scoring this season, potting 46.

The Columbus Blue Jackets would like to congratulate our prospects on being a terrible year - ranging form the merely disappointing to the downright godawful. We rock. :shakehead

The Avalanche would also like to thank Eric Fehr for being awarded the Four Broncos memorial trophy, as the Player of the Year in the WHL.
Fehr beat out Nigel Dawes, the Western conference Player of the Year, in the final voting.
