I'm disappointed to hear the Lecavalier's knee is still bothersome and he might not play I hope the doctor gives him good news.

Also, sad to hear that Richards and St. Louis might miss the tournament too. :(

On the bright side, sources say Phoenix Coyote winger Shane Doan has told Team Canada he will play in the tourney. He joins a list that already includes World Cup veterans Dany Heatley, Kris Draper, Ryan Smyth, Wade Redden, Robyn Regehr, Scott Hannan and Ed Jovanovski as well as goaltender Martin Brodeur and Roberto Luongo.

Doan, Thornton, Heatley, Draper, and Smyth is the start of a pretty good forward grouping, and a top 4 of Redden/Regehr/Hannan/Jovo is nothing to sniff at either.

I'm surprised Morrison hasn't gotten an invite yet. Considering how many players have already opted out, who's else's left? We don't have any scoring centers besides Thornton ( Draper will likely be playing a defensive role again ).
