He's very very good. Ottawa's lucky they have great drafting or this season would be a very miserable one for them.

Its pretty much a small miracle that they found a new Karlsson immediately after losing Erik Karlsson.

Other than being aggressive offensively they don't relate to each other but I know what you mean
His continued emergence has definitely made the Karlsson trade a bit more palatable.

Oh god whatever... The season is 12 games in man, its not an outlandish statement in any capacity if you take your head out of the sand and look at any stat.
Things could very well change, but lets not pretend that Chabot hasnt been one of the very best dmen in the league so far to start the season.

Totally agree. Different playing styles aside, the net result is that we have a new sensational dman leading the team in scoring.

Only defender to ever win MVP at WJC.
Won CHL defender of the year while playing only 34(!!!) games the entire season. Put up unbelievable playoff performance same year 23 points in 18 games +29
Had rookie numbers similar to EK. I mean.. the guy is no EK but his pedigree screamed franchise defender in the making.
I think being in the system of a team that already had EK, and with previous bad memories of Ottawa hyping up d prospects that amounted to nothing (Rundblad and Cowen) he was heavily under appreciated across the league.
He is amazing.

Not really, EK didnt wanna leave. It was Menlyk that forced and made the situation as sour as it turned out to be. EK himself said even if I re-signed they would have traded me.

And yet he doesnt have the anywhere near the support that Klingberg does in Dallas (and leading his team in scoring), and plays a more of a two way game imo.
Its a notch above Klingberg imo. and realistically its closer to Karlsson.
