Valabik to the Panthers at number seven is a pretty big stretch.

I think the Rangers will be quite happy if Ladd is there at six. They could have their eye on Schremp though :dunno:

I'm sure the Blues will be thrilled if they can land Montoya at 17

Mezaros to the Stars at 20 will go a long way to helping solidify their future blueline. Pretty similar to Daley though.

Wow Bolland doesn't even go in the first round. That surprises me.

heres some comments of my own

Valabik going to the Panthers at #7 should make for some angry panther fans

Montoya to the Blues would be awesome for the St.Louis

Andrew Ladd and Jakub Sindel to NYR would help that team out alot

Being an EDM fan i like getting Picard and Dubynk

Some would say his attitude have been blown way out of proportion. Other than that, there's no denying that he is a top five talent in the draft.

I can see why Rangers fans might be against the risk. They've had enough attitudes there the last few years, and why take a risk when you can get someone solid with that pick.

Robbie Schremp, attitude problem has been blown way out of the water. It's just the guys a top 5 talent and can back up his cockyness with his play so I'd leave it at that.

Especially big slow ones. If I were drafting for the Panthers, I'd take Picard

The Panthers could actually use a big defenseman who plays big. They've got plenty of two-way or offensive d-men. Branislav Mezei is the only consistently tough defenseman on the team, and it doesn't look overly promising for the future. Valabik would be good fit for the Panthers, although maybe not that high. I would expect Keenan to trade down to get him, but he may just take him at #7. Still, Keenan is a wild-card in this draft because nobody knows how he will run the draft, who he likes, who Jacques Martin likes, or what the hell is going on.

Anyone who's read THN's draft guide would have to come to the conclusion that THN isn't very high on the BPA draft strategy.... but O'Neill shouldn't be much of a surprise, they weren't high on him in the paper either.

The Flames only have one pick in the first three rounds, I'd expect Sutter to go for a bigger name than Nokelainen. He also has yet to draft a European that wasn't already playing in NA (ie. Ramholt) -- I am not convinced he will break that trend but who knows. Sutter is probably more likely to grab Graham than Nokelainen at #19, but Chipchura is probably at the top of his list (trade up).

Is it just me or the NYRangers need some defenseman ? They neglect that aspect of the game so bad the last couple years that they should at least pick a D with one of their 1st rounder.
