Nice article on the business of the junior teams.

For example: OHL Rangers took in $6.2m ($3.6m from tickets) and spent $6.1m. But most of that difference was given away to charity, leaving net at $22,165.

What level of Junior are you talking about? The OHL? Junior A? Junior B? Junior C? The differences are huge between them. The OHL and Junior A are full time endeavors, while Junior B and Junior C are mostly part time businesses. The OHL may have budgets in the millions; Junior A is typically 300-700K, Junior B 50-150K and Junior C 25-100K. These figures can differ for many reasons. Some leagues travel much more than others, some charge player fees, some do not, some have great equipment deals, others do not, etc…
What are the experiences of others out there?
